Creating generational wealth is one of life’s missions for entrepreneur

Sanelisiwe Zwane.

The passionate young mother was born in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal and admits that she is ready to soar. We speak to her about her business, faith and building a legacy.

Ignited Woman (IW): Can you tell us about the business ventures you are involved in?

Sanelisiwe Zwane (SZ): I am currently full time employed as an Internal Auditor and solely run Sinesan Trading as well as my guesthouse on the side. Some of our services under SinesanTrading include financial consulting and advisory service such as company registration, BEE certification, Tax Clearance Certification, designing of internal controls and risk management frame certificate.

The guesthouse is situated in the heart of the upmarket suburb of Three Rivers in Vereeniging. With seven luxurious rooms Sinesan Guesthouse offers the perfect balance of tranquility.

IW: To prepare for this life did you study, and what?

SZ: I moved to Gauteng in 2011 to pursue her studies at the Vaal University of Technology where I graduated with a National Diploma in Internal Auditing in 2014. I then enrolled for my Bachelor of Technology in Internal Auditing in 2015 and was blessed to land an internship while still studying full time.

IW: You gave birth to your company Sinesan Trading, how did the business journey begin?

SZ: I was a trainee internal auditor for a period of two years when one day I woke up and felt as if I no longer served my purpose in life and I knew I had a higher calling. The same morning, I walked into my manager’s office and told her that I was resigning. Her question to me was, did you find a better employer? I answered yes, myself. That for me was taking a step of faith because I was leaving a safety net to step into the unknown. A voice in my head asked, do you think a 24-year old girl from KZN can build the empire you have in your head in Gauteng overnight? I had my doubts but through it all I trusted God.

While I was serving my notice, I got a phone call from John Chiume, who is also my mentor today and he asked if I was interested in assisting SMEs contracted under the small enterprise development agency (SEDA) with their financial management systems. From there Sinesan Consulting and Advisory service was established.

I purchased land and built my first house in my home town Newcastle at the age of 25. That is where my passion for property development started. At the Age of 26 I opened up my own Guesthouse.
